Townsend and Parker are award-winning songwriters. Their brand of Ginsang Juice has been played on radio stations across the country. Parker and Townsend won the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at MerleFest—considered by many to be the preeminent Americana festival in the United States. Their work has been recognized at the Mountain Stage NewSong Fest and the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Their songs have been described by critics as sweet, gritty, edgy and true, and as fitting seamlessly into the canon of American music….with a timeless quality.
